What You'll Discover in this Episode:

Who Are We In Christ?

In this episode, we will explore answers to the question, "Who We Are In Christ?" It's a question of identity. Humankind has many ideas about identity - from the general everyday secular idenity to the bizarre.

What do people seek in life? Who are we in Christ? Who am I? Who am I really? What is my life supposed to be about?  Until we know Jesus as Lord and Savior, we will be spiritually dead and under the control of Satan himself. Ephesians 2: 1-3

When we counsel, we ask, “Is this person saved? Are they born again?” No matter what their problems are, you want to get them standing solid so you can present Christ in their life.

We are not the same people before meeting the Lord and we are not who other people say we are. 2 Corinthians 5:17. We are who God says we are. He shapes us where He wants us to go and what He wants us to be. He is transforming us based upon who Jesus is and all that He has accomplished for us in His life, death, resurrection, and ascension and in His soon return.

In God, when we are born again, our past life will be gone. Everything becomes new. When psychotherapy takes you backward, but in Christ we are looking forward. We are thought to get out of the past and start looking forward and upward.

Our life is already complete. We just need to seek Him, develop a relationship with Him, and walk with Him. The completeness of life that we need is already ours. It is yours in Christ. Drawn upon by faith, you will end up in wholeness of life.

Who are we in Christ? Look at the following scriptures to find out more.

1 Corinthians 3:9

Once you understand this, you will be compelled to pass this on to those that struggle with their identity and who they are with Christ. It is an important foundational principle that you want to spend time with those that you counsel.
