(Romans 12:6, 8 NKJV) (6) Having then gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us, let us use them: if prophecy, let us prophesy in proportion to our faith; ... (8) he who exhorts, in exhortation; he who gives, with liberality; he who leads, with diligence; he who shows mercy, with cheerfulness.

(Hebrews 5:13-14 NKJV) (13) For everyone who partakes only of milk is unskilled in the word of righteousness, for he is a babe. (14) But solid food belongs to those who are of full age, that is, those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil.

    Nice job…great encouragement

This was such a great podcast. I have never really thought of the gift of counseling being what Romans 12:8 calls encouragement or exhortation. I have felt for years like I have the gift of encouragement, but this was eye opening for me. I am praying with you pastor Jeff that God will raise up an army of His counselors! I see so much need for growth in the scriptures, in myself mostly, but also in the church as a whole. Only His word can equip us to grow and to adequately reach out to others with true godly help. Thanks for this.
