In psychological theory, sometimes it is helpful to learn from our past but there is a point in time where need to press on and forget those things behind but Jesus said to His disciples, “Do not worry about tomorrow for tomorrow will care for itself.” Matthew 6:34.
Too many counselors, if they are trained in psychotherapy, give hundreds of self-satisfying false hopes but they’re enclosed in these sophisticated pseudo-scientific psychological perspectives.
Instead of people finding God’s relief through humble dependence upon Him, they’re off on another fleshly attempt to be their own redeemer.
What is counseling with a gentle voice? In order to understand whether a person should receive confrontation or comfort, we must consider the characteristics, purposes, and uses of law and grace. We will see that the law of God is related to counseling by confrontation, while the grace of God is related to counseling by comfort.
